Hanson speak the truth via 'Mmm bop'
You have so many relationships in this life
Only one or two will last
You're going through all the pain and strife
Then you turn your back and they're gone so fast
Oh yeah, and they're gone so fast, yeah
So hold on to the ones who really care
In the end they'll be the only ones there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care?
Can you tell me who will still care?
Mmm bop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du, yeah yeah
Mmm bop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, Ba du dop
Ba du bop, Ba du dop
Ba du, yeah yeah . . .
Who'd have thought the little buggers knew so much?
Pee
PS - Not sure the chorus is translated right. How they could remember it themselves is a bloody mystery.

I'm not a Hanson fan - so I can't make a happy comment about that song. I'm am an Olympic Opening ceremony fan though - and what I saw earlier, in my opinion, was innovative and outstanding. What did you think?
It was pretty tight.
And visually rich.
But it ultimately felt like lots of ideas from previous ceremonies simply updated.
Fantasy versus reality a bit methinks.
And the 'One World. One Dream.' tagline was an absolute cliched ripper.
Hee hee.
(Pee, Look out for a new Sorted.org.nz TV advt that uses 'Fantasy vs Reality' in a literal sense - Aug 24th launch). Back to the Olympics opening ceremony - one of my nephews criticized my enthusiasm for it, telling me yesterday many of the 'performers' were from the military and in his opinion had probably been told to participate - I don't really care how they did it or why or the cliched tagline (I don't recall others doing any better with the tagline?). I thought the Beijing choreography was excellent - and the messaging very clear & simple (i.e. no interpretation required - dare I say at the risk of offending some readers of this blog - unlike the Melbourne Commonwealth Games opening ceremony - I still have no idea what was going on for whole sections of that ceremony).
It's fantastic sunny Wellington day - I hope you're able to enjoy parts of it with your family. Keep well.
D
confession.
In light of the open honesty that has become the hallmark of this blog, i shall confess that i had a huge crush on the drummer from hansen as a child (of 12 or 13), and that i was publically shamed when i revealed this in a year 7 maths class to my new 'buddies', only for them to loudly and rudely highlight that 'she' was a 'he'. am i that wrong? that is one feminine little boygirl.
DC
I'm guilty as charged, too.
Not for actually having a crush.
But for thinking the drummer was a girl.
Hanson. Hmm (bop).
So under-rated.
Just ask Charles Turner.
And Gus Van Sant.
